Australia day...you know you wanna know what it looked like...
Thought I should post some pictures of the festivities from last weekend's Australia day holiday...

Looking at the harbour from the shoreline at Kirribilli, under the north end of the harbour bridge. The shear number and variety of boats out on Australia day is amazing. How they all manage to avoid colliding with each other is frankly unbelievable.

The infamous ferry race. This year it was further enhanced as Nurton provided a photo finish service. This photo shows the Aami boat winning by crossing the finish line under the bridge.

In a demonstration of our absolute love for Australia, Will and I whip out our 'guns' and even had a small tattoo* done.
* Not really, it was just a sticker, like 4 year old kids have!

Obviously the phrase "like 4 year olds" is the telling one here.
The winning ferry is actually called "Sirius", but it took me quite some research to find this out because of the AAMI advertising draped all over it on the day.
Tip for the gamblers out there - watch out if Borrowdale is entered in the ferrython (as it is officially know) next year, as she has new engines.
