Birthday Competition!
That's right, it's my birthday. Congratulation me!
I'm 24 years old, which according to one card I received this morning, is when life begins. Sounds good then! What experiences did other people have when turning 24, leave a comment and tell me!
So, Bandick has insisted for a while now that I start another competition and I've agreed to finally give in. However it may not necessarily have the same competitive edge as NMW competitions of years gone by due largely to the fact that probably only two people still read this.
Anyway, so what is it? Well Bandick suggested an idea, which I think is a good one (and most importantly means I don't need to think one up myself). So take a look at the post below (from the 1st Jan 2007) and guess how many of my NYRaE (New Year's Resolutions and Endeavours) I will succeed in achieving by 31st December 2007. You also need to successfully name one by name that I will complete and one by name that I will have failed already by the end of January.
Normal NMW rules apply.....entries in a comment....blah blah blah.
Prize: A picture of Marvin at the beach and a packet of the only true great thing that Australia produces.... Tim Tams! Yum Yum!

Is it cheating to use blog twice a week as the one you'd fail, since you haven't posted in the past week?
And, I'll choose "Do GMAT test and possibly apply for MBA." for the one you will keep. I love the "possibly" as it gives me an out if you don't keep the resolution.
Now then young Bandick....
What you haven't account for, is the fact that I make the rules round here and that includes definitions of New Year's Resolutions.
So just to be clear - a week is meant in the Calendar sense. I.e. Monday to Sunday. I blogged twice last week and I still have two days to blog this week.
Hang your head in shame, you didn't really think it would be that easy to get your hands on a prized picture of Marvin, did you?
On a rather more positive note, thank you very much for being my only entrant!
Also the reason I say possibly to actually signing up to an MBA is that I think I need a couple more years work experience before I will be ready to start one, but I want to get the exam out the way while I still have some exam skills left!
You think I'm in this for the picture? I'm all about the snacks, baby.
I'm going for 6 achievable. Getting promotion is easy, since Nurton's chosen career is so obscure that, subject only to the Australian primary resources industry faltering, they have to promote him. That's not going to happen, ergo, resolution achieved!
It's not possible to learn to cook a "complex" dish using the three authors he has named, so that's the one he can't do.
When I turned 24 life was good. I moved into a house share in Catford with my best mates, and became "General Purpose Relief Supervisor B, Kent Link" at Blackfriars. Henry the Herald spent six months in the garage without turning wheel. And I made vast wads of cash, which I spent on U2 tours.
Bobrail.
BTW, explain to me how posting on 1/4 and then again on 1/13 is within one week, on any calendar...that's nine days!
Ah ha! You've fallen into my trap!
Actually I posted on the 3rd and 4th of January (Wed and Thurs) of the first week, so that's twice in the first week. I also posted twice on the 13th January, which is twice in the second week.
Does anybody else understand my self pleasing logic?
I've got it! I had to look at a calendar to figure it out. I think probably what you should do is post one topic per week but just split it into two posts...
