Weekend-o-revision
I am just about to go to bed after a weekend dedicated to revision. This weekend I have been so busy revising for my exams which are NEXT Saturday that I have only managed the following distraction activities:
- Drinking a bottle and a half of wine.
- Driving for no reason over 50 miles at over 5000rpm [Note: before activity above!]
- Watched ‘Arlington Road’ (starring Tim Robbins) on DVD; good film.
- Watched an entire series of ‘Black Books’ on DVD.
- Watched an entire series of ‘Peep Show’ on DVD with the commentary on.
- Talked to my housemate Rob about rugby and New Zealand.
- Watched the MotoGP in memory of my ex-houesmate Phil.
- Watch the BTCC on Sunday afternoon even though it is deadly boring.
- Went to McDonalds for Sunday lunch! Yes I'm that cultured! Could only afford a hamburger on its own as I have got my finances a “bit” wrong this month.
- Spent Saturday eating cheese, Pringles and French bread.
- Drank 4 litres of coke
- Ironed 6 shirts
- Did 3 loads of washing
- Did the bins
- Did the washing up
- Joined an internet chat group for the first time in my life. It was shit, they were all speaking a different language and a disturbing number of men wanted to have "cyber" with me. Arghh!
- I resigned my membership of an internet chat group for the first time in my life.
- Watched 'Layer Cake' on DVD.
- Finally got round to reading the last 70 pages of 'All quiet on the Western Front'
- Went to the gym.
- Spent 3 hours on ebay looking at things I can’t afford. Namely, cars.
So I guess you could say that now I am really in the shit (regarding my exams) and you'd probably be right. I'm taking Wed - Fri off work to do some much needed last minute revision. So far I know 1.5 modules worth of information. I am doing 4 modules worth of exams so still have a lot to learn. Oh dear. At least as they are four 90 minute exams all back to back it will be over quickly and painlessly when it happens.

5,000+ RPM for 50 miles??
Why...
* You were trying to break your car, "forcing" you into a V8 BMW?
* You'd overfilled with oil and decided the best way to get rid of the surplus was to burn it?
* Your fuel economy was going to put you into a reduced expenses band at work?
* You've bought a motorbike and not told anyone?
My car-related achievements of today have been to (finally!) get the traction control light to illuminate, and to get the trip computer to momentarily display "1.0 miles/gal".
I could have told you that about internet chat groups. asl lol :p.
Black Books is an excellent choice for serial watching.
Sorry that should have read "Averaged 5000rpm". Quite surprisingly it drank over a quarter of a tank of fuel during that "little" outing. That'll be £10,000 then!
