One of those days
Saturdays are supposed to be fun. Saturdays normally are fun. But not Saturdays that are devoted to revision. They are decidedly not fun.
Today despite not doing anything else I have failed spectacularly to do any revision whatsoever. I have a few excuses for this:
- After 5 days of revision, I am bored with revision.
- Yesterday after returning to Bath after a week at my parents (that's another dreadful story in itself!) I purchased two DVDs; Black Books Series 3 and Peep Show Series 1. I have watch both of them entirely in the last 24 hours. Peep show was better although they are two very different types of comedy.
- I have spent much of the afternoon writing replies to personnel letters that people have sent me in the last few months that I have so far failed to respond to (all of them!).
- I drank 2 litres of coke yesterday and now I have caffeine withdrawal!
- I am still a little hung-over after a trip to London on Thursday evening with Kat to go and see a film. Unfortunately the cinema never materialised but maybe bottles of wine did. Much fun with some rather enthusiastic drinking, but I am paying the price now!
- I fear going back to work on Monday. I have got used to not being awoken my alarm clock every morning.
Other bad/worrying things to happen today:
I caught one of the other flat owners in my block moving my post from our flat's pigeon hole to the "return to senders" pigeon hole. He said "Oh I thought you didn't live here anymore!". Two things:
1.) I've only just moved in!!!!
2.) We can sort our own junk mail thanks! Now can I please have back my car insurance documentation letter please?
I washed my bedding today but while standing on my bed on one leg dancing like I am doing some kind of Mexican dance while trying to get the duvet inside its cover, I accidentally knock the lamp shade hanging from my ceiling with one of my madly moving arms. This then helpfully deposits about 300 years dust which has collected inside the shade, straight onto my newly cleaned sheets. Bollocks.
Had soup, cheese, prawn crackers and bbq sauce for lunch.
