The coast at sunset

I'm moving house this weekend from Exeter to Bath as I start work on Monday morning. I am trying to catch up with some of my blogging that I have failed to do over the last week due to the excessive heat before I pack my computer away.

Earlier in the week I was pretty bored one evening so decided to nip down to the coast for a quick walk along the sea wall while the sun set as I couldn't think of anything better (or indeed cooler(in the thermodynamic rather than image sense of the word)) to do with my time.

Dawlish sea wall.
Looking down at the sea wall. Lots of people fishing although a lot of them looked like local chavs who despite having expensive looking fishing rods were opting to fish without the aid of bait. Surely not even a fish is stupid enough to chew on a sharp metal hook just for a laugh, without the incentive of a maggot or two?

My art teacher at school would have said; 'Good composition, Burton'
This is looking across the railway line at the red sandstone cliffs. I only publish this photo as I think it might interest any transport planners who happen to be reading this while travelling across Scandinavia at the moment!

Great shot of the train! Shame about all that ruddy sea and sunset getting in the shot!

Ah, doesn't that make you want to get back to transport planning and stop wasting your time pretending to be Bill Bryson?
