The story of a guy called Colin

So yesterday I managed to get my dissertation printed, bound and handed in with 1 and a half hours to spare. I hadn't slept since 10am on the Thursday (no shit) so needed to go to bed. But before sleep I went for a quick pint in the university bar. Got 4 hours of shut eye before waking myself up to go out for the evening's entertainment. A friend of mine, Colin, happened to be having a surprise 21st birthday celebration that night, so I thought what better excuse to go and get drunk and celebrate my completion of all coursework (ever, ever, ever!) by going out to help Colin celebrate his 284 month stay on this planet.

I took my camera with me and although I still hadn't got round to experimenting with the settings, took some semi-decent photos despite the French's best efforts to stop my fun! Here is the photo book story of the night, I hope you enjoy it! (Note: Names have not been changed to protect the identities of the photographs' subjects.)

========================================

I met up with Colin (below, being cool) and the others in a trendy bar. (Exeter only has one)

Here is Colin's housemate (one on the right), John with Ian.
Ian and John

John spent most of the night fighting off Ian's advances.....
Kiss chase

We moved onto a slightly less trendy bar/club which was cheaper and set about encouraging/forcing Colin to drink copious amounts of ethanol based beverages.....
Down in one my son

Meanwhile the rest of us also took advantage of our surrounding to quench our thirst and as a result pull stupid faces....

Ian and Becky(another of Colin's housemates)

Quite rightly Colin was getting lots of the right kind of attention....
Doesn't look nearly as pissed as he was

Following the last photo to the best of my memory we played a little game of:
1.) Get drinks in
2.) Get a double of whatever you are drinking for Colin
3.) Force Colin to imbibe and then cheer when he did
4.) Drink own drink at sensible pace
5.) Repeat

This went on for about 2 hours until Colin was "ill" and we decided to head back to his house for debrief.

We carried/pushed/lead/kicked Colin back to his house but unfortunately he collapsed just 2 yards from his front door.....
Colin takes a nap

While we tried to administer CPR to Colin, John locked us out and taunted us from Colin's bedroom window.....
John up to no good

Luckily John was
A.) Pissed
B.) Unusually stupid.
These two facts along with some FBI style negotiation and psychological tricks resulted in John himself being locked outside while we warmed up inside and gesticulated at him from the window....

After letting John in and placing Colin's intoxicated body on his bedroom floor everything was back to normal, with Kat (another of Colin's housemates) inflicting domestic violence on her defenceless housemates while I stood by laughed and said my goodbyes......
Surrender,....does not compute.....

I stumbled back into my house (got the right one, first try!) made myself a fat sandwich which consisted of a 1 inch cube of cheese in a piece of bread. I then tried to eat the sandwich while trying to undo my shoe laces standing on one leg, half in our understairs shoe cupboard. Needless to say I fell over, just as Phil (my housemate who lives downstairs) appeared from his room to be confronted by my collapsed cheese blemished body. He was very polite.

Had a very much needed good night’s sleep/coma and have only suffered from a slight headache tonight. I put this down to the Coca cola lining I have added on my stomach over the last week. It may rot my teeth but it seems to protect my stomach. Dentists 1 Nurton's Health 1.

I will blog about how I managed to pull off my dissertation next time. So keep tuned.

PS: If you hover over the photos they should all have captions.

Thanks!!! I'm glad our naughty behaviour amused you! That is the point of this blog after all!

It just goes to show that you can have a great time without breaking the law or being horrible to other people (A lot of people think that ALL drunk people are violent louts in this country)
