Another of my childhood suspicions proved to be true

I have long been of the opinion that libraries were full of books that are completely useless and that the space they occupy would be better used to build a pub or other public service building such as an off license. Seems I was right to have this prejudice:

While I was in the St Luke's library revising this morning I was staring into space not doing any work. My attention was drawn to a book on the shelf in front of where I was perched. It was titled "After Suicide". To be honest I can't think of a better waste of paper. It looked about 400 pages and although I didn't waste any time actually reading it, I would guess that the 400 pages could be summed up in the following synopsis:

"This book is about regret"

Another thing I hate about libraries is librarians. Librarians if not sweet little old ladies who would help you if they could remember where any of the books are kept are normally of the BBB (where the second B can stand for either Blonde or Brunette) variety. Why can't they be more happy and helpful?
So it was entertaining to observe that two of the librarians at the St Luke’s library were having a rather loud and aggressive argument with each other as I walked out. Seeing that was definitely a feel good moment.

[Physics question: If one BBB meets another BBB head on at high velocity do they annihilate each other or create a bigger new type of super BBB?]

Would they create a B cubed? No, that isn't quite right.

I'd rather be at a library than a pub. I'm a freak. I love the quiet and all the stuff to read.

I don't know how you can switch gears, study, party, study, party... Pretty damn impressive!!!!!

Try a quiet pub, where you can read a book at the same time as enjoying a pint. Perfection!
