3 awful things happened to me today

What goes up must come down. After yesterday's triumphs today was a bit of a disaster. Because:

- For the first time in 22 years my brain decided that the reflex reaction of 'breath in, breath out' was far too overrated. In other words, life had become too much and my body was ready to meet its maker rather than spend another minute failing to learn about stupid ‘Jackson Problem Frames’. Unfortunately (?) breathing is a reflex reaction which my brain was unable to overrule. So I am still here, albeit rather grudgingly.
- Harry spent 45 minutes plucking individual grey hairs from my mane. Unfortunately (despite being about 1000 hair less well off) I look just as grey in the mirror as I did before. Depressing. Thanks for trying Harry, it was our finest bonding moment in 8 months of house sharing.*
- Kat told me that despite reading the entire textbook that our AI course is based on from cover to cover, she is unable to answer any (more than 20%) of the questions on the past papers. In fact she is unable to look at the past papers without tears forming in her eyes.** I on the other hand, have done no AI revision at all yet. Unsurprisingly this means that I am in even more of a fu*king hole than Kat. That's one FUCKING big hole. (I always was better at digging than climbing***)

On a slightly more jovial note, I would like to extend my congratulations to somebody who doesn't read this; Kat's sister, who this morning was blessed with a little baby boy (blonde hair, blue eyes. I'm told). On a rather less jovial note, she was in labour for 48 hours. I’d take 5 exams any day, over that bundle of laughs.

The new NMW competition is ready for launch. It is a whopper, so you’d better be looking forward to it! I am struggling to think of a good prize (ideas?). I will post the details tomorrow. Oooooo’ I can't wait!!!!!!

* Harry found one hair that started brown at the root then half way up turned grey. Surely if I am "going" grey, then the grey bit should be at the bottom?
** Actually, now I come to think about it, that could be me not Kat.
*** Ask my brother about the random holes I used to dig in the garden! I was a weird child.
