I was against capital punishment until I read this
This was in the news today.
I am strictly against capital punishment. I believe people should be made to PAY for what they have done by working for the good of society as their punishment (ie making doilies of old people etc.) But this story about chavs attacking firefighters is just one step too far.
There is just NO excuse for it what so ever. These kids need to have there googlies cut off and then thrown off a cliff (both them and their googlies and their parents). Society has no need for such gene pools.
Please somebody tell me I am wrong, I would love to be wrong on this but I can't think of ANY other punishment suitable.

Absolutely right. But not a straight cliff, where they can be chucked straight into the sea, a jagedy one where they bounce lots of times, making death more painful. Should we tell Kilroy-Silk?
You know we all laugh at Kilroy now, but remember his chat show, so much better than Springer etc.
Only Kilroy could have program questions like:
"Eaten too much Bovril?"
"So you think you own a swimming pool but don't?"
"Your local school is closing down, should you burn it to the ground as a protest against governement education cuts?"
etc etc.....

I also am still against capital punishment but this is an exception.
I can understand chavs might not like the police and therefore try to deck them.
I can understand chavs not liking the middle classes and wanting to deck them
I can understand chavs might think it funny to call out the fire engine to a "non fire" just to see the big red truck
I CAN't understand why they would want to deck/steal from them??!!?? It like beating up an ambulance crew. There is no reason to do it therefore it is truly 100% unforgivable. There is no mental illness (bordom is cited) that can take the blame other than stupidity(and that isn't going to go away!).
Wow thanks for introducing me to the Chav site, I didn't know that this type of person actually had a name, though I had recognised that specific social group, which I defined mentally as a kid in expensive trainers and Mr T gold chains throwing a brick while skiving school. Chav is somewhat more efficient.

P.S I think the teaching of philosophy or just some kind of 'life' study early in schools would help, to make people understand why things are and encourage independent thinking and morality, which leads to respect, and to understand the commercial world etc.
P.P.S I am against capital punishment, I don't think Britain's coastline should be polluted in this way
As far as I am aware no firefighters have been killed yet by these dickheads but it is only a matter of time.
It is not a "punnishment" that I am looking for. The thing is that in all the history of all of the world never have we had a people so STUPID that they attack their own emergency services (police excluded) on a regular basis, just for fun. This is why it is a unique case and the ONLY one in which I would approve captial punnishment.
PS: I am never 100% serious when writing in this blog. But my scribblings tend to reflect my mood about certain things!
