Stranded in Surrey

I seem to be having bad luck this weekend. My old car 'Henry' needs a new MOT and tax and as my mate is away who services him for me, he is currently 'off the road'. This leaves me with only one car (normally not such a problem for a student). Unfortuantely the alternator has died on my other car, 'Manwell'. Hopefully I will be able to get him to a garage tomorrow. But at the moment I am without transport and therefore stuck at my parents house. Not that it is boring here!!!!!

On a more exciting note, my camera returned from France today! It seems that they may have only have fix one of the two faults, so I may have to send it back. Groan. Also, cactus in Exeter, camera in London so the lucky prize winners will have to wait a bit longer for their photo of Sally Milligan.

My life has become boring, but maybe that is because I have been doing some work on my project?

Of course your parent's house is boring and Sally is a crap name for a cactus.

You had your chance to come up with a better name (see first NMW competition). I think Sally Milligan is very clever. It certainly has more relevance the cactus' personality than 'bob' can have on yours!

:(

I hate to say it, being the transferral vector, but I think your car may have been infected by the "Alfa Romeo" virus. This generally involves parts in various inaccessable parts of the engine bay going wrong. Usually electrical things.

Expect, too, trim to start falling off and bulbs to blow more or less every time you switch the lights on.

(Surprisingly, my car hasn't been bad at all. Probably just means I'm overdue for a failure...)
