AV Reunion - December 2004

Since discovering blogs and how to post photos on my blog (I am a slow learner when it comes to the internet, maybe a shock to those of you who know what my degree is in?), I thought I would post some pictures. This post is really for the benefit of some body called Fiona who lives in some place called Scotland.

For my gap year, 3 years ago, I spent some months in Africa teaching a group of 30 children the words to the Blur song, 'Parklife' and how not to play football. I went with a project called AV with about 20 other people. We had a reunion over Christmas and here are some of the photos I took. I bumped into Fiona in Edinburgh a week later and promised to post the photos for her the next week. So you could say I am a little late with this! Whoops. Anyway, here they are, hopefully they tell the story of the night.

The Sofa
Zaya, Ellie and Steve on the sofa

Pint of squash surrounded by cards
A game involving cards and no alcohol is proposed to help liven up the evening

Dance Master
We all look like tits as the "dance master" (don't ask!)

Down in one
Steve shows everybody how drinking games are done in Mochudi.

Steve in a lady's coat
Subsequently, Steve is the only person who thinks it is a wise idea to wear Philly's coat.

The Sofa, again
The end of the night, 2-3am, Steve has passed out on Philly and she is too polite to move. Ahhh.

I have tried to include a photo of everybody who was there, but have probably failed, so I apologise if that is the case. [Mark, don't have any pictures of you but do have some great Class A "Mark comments" on video.]

I woke the next morning and headed up to Edinburgh for the new year, where I met Fiona.

A pub in Edinburgh
Me and Fiona.

Enough photos for now.

Thanks guys! Fi's hair is even more "extreme" in real life. Although she has probably changed it by now.
