Another day.... more about me

Good evening, it's that time again. The cursor is blinking it rhythmic flash at me expecting me to add to the 100 words that I composed over the 3 hours I spent in the computer room this afternoon on campus. So I need a distraction and as the local police have banned me from taunting the local chavs (I use a can of Carling on long stick just out of their reach...), I guess that blogging is the best and only next thing. Well had a pretty uneventful and unproductive day. So guess I will let you know about CNF. What is CNF? Well it is the subject of my first book that I am composing with my best mate Stu. The book is called "How to Implement 'Compassionate Neo-Fascism' on a Shoestring". It is a guide to regime change on a student budget. Without giving too much away it is a satirical commentary on why the UK would be better off under CNF, with a "Not for profit dictatorship" at the helm. It will also contain many letter that we have/are writing to politicians and other people in positions of power trying to trick them into implementing our policies for us(hence the shoestring), and their replies (hopefully comical!).

The idea behind writing a book is to make enough money to pay off our student loans (just so that we can tell all those bloody annoying students to stop whining and do the same) and also to obtain our 15 minutes of fame, or more likely 30 mins as I would like to appear as a panellist on Have I got news for you.

Anyway, in the extremely unlikely event of us not being bothered to finish the book, I have found another route to fame. The BBC is running a new contest for comic writers, see here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/tv/lastlaugh/

which sounds like it will be a giggle to try. After the last seasons of sitcoms such as My Family and Coupling (which were once great) it seems to me that it is not hard to write better shit.

In other news:

Found out today that my exam timetable has been written by some mini-Hitler with 4 exams over 3 days. Bastards. They never think of us "crammers" when constructing the bloody timetable.

Also ordered The Coral's first album from CDwow (http://www10.cd-wow.com/detail_results.php?product_code=2635) for 6.99 . Ah sweet student loan. Their song: Dreaming of You, is so cool, my housemate was playing it on his bass and I decided I had to have the album. Great stuff.

Been planning how to get suitably drunk for the end of term (which is this weekend), have decided on a mix of wine and vodka taken while singing to songs played on mate’s computer before onto some cheesy student night at a club down on the quay. Should end in me not being able to walk straight, which is normally a good thing. (surprisingly!)

OK this post is 488 words, which I really should have written on my essay. Better get back to it. Must finish by Thursday, as that is the deadline and more importantly that is when we are going out!

You'll have to tell me who you are before I can give you an otter. Also I will have to find an otter. Where is the best place to get one, pet shop?
